Credit Card Approval Opt Out
Tuesday, April 19th, 2011If you "opt out" of credit card offers, does it interfere with the approval of a mortgage loan?
I have a lot of credit card offers in the mail that I have no interest in. I'm not going to be getting a credit card account in the short new term. I want to make these offers on an ongoing basis and have found that I can do on this website: https: / / www.optoutprescreen.com/?rf=t am thinking of buying my first house (currently rented). If I can send a form of exclusion, is this going to affect the process of buying a home? Will the bank be able to see my credit report without problems when applying for a mortgage? I'm living in the U.S..
Absolutely no effect on any credit approval. Opt out just get rid of all requests for new credit cards – or at least most of them.
